"At Christmas time, Ardmore was fortunate enough to receive 152 Gift Bags for our clients for Christmas! These items were donated by the parishioners of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Barberton under the leadership of Father Robert Jackson. What a blessing it was for everyone to have received a bag filled to the brim with all kinds of goodies at Christmas time. Huge thanks go out to everyone at Prince of Peace"

Thanks to Ron Tristano, a PGA professional at the course, who helped make the day happen and was so welcoming. Special thanks to Dave Denham and other Ardmore staff for making it happen. A great time was had by all!”

We are grateful for the support of our major sponsors

for our 2nd annual Casino Night held on April 13, 2013

at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium.

We rolled the dice, spun the money wheel, chanced our luck, won prizes and had a fantastic evening supporting the clients of Ardmore. The event was able to raise over $17,000 which will directly benefit over 170 adults in our community with developmental disabilities and autism. We also hope you will join us next year as we continue to strive to make a difference!

Eagle Scout Fundraiser May 2013

Eagle Scout Fundraiser for Bridges

Ardmore Inc.’s Bridges program benefited from the extraordinary talent and commitment of local Boy Scout, Colin Burns. For the focus of his Eagle Scout Service Project, Colin selected the Bridges program, serving adults with developmental disabilities. Colin Burns, from Boy Scout Troop 269 in Aurora, organized thirty-two volunteers who put in 114 hours on May 4, 2013 to plant twenty-three, seven foot arborvitae trees screening the chicken enclosure. Colin supervised the entire project from start to finish. Before Colin was able to begin this project, he first researched a local non-profit that could benefit from an Eagle Scout Service Project. He was required to submit a proposal to both Ardmore Inc. and his scout leadership which included his own research of the need, costs involved, proper planting of arborvitae, planning of volunteers, and tools required to complete the project. Becky Susany, Executive Director of the Ardmore Foundation, owner of the property, said, “Colin’s project helped the Foundation meet the requirements of a Tallmadge Conditional Zoning Order. We are so grateful for his time and talent. He is a very special young man who has made a real difference!” Colin received fundraising support from El Camino Restaurant in Aurora who donated twenty percent of its proceeds from meals on April 30th. The arborvitaes were provided at cost by Dave Thomas of R.G. Thomas Landscape & Design, Inc. of Norton. He was grateful for the local support and pleased with the outcome. Colin is a 7th grader at St. Patrick School in Kent. When asked why he chose Bridges as the recipient of his labor, Colin responded, “I’m excited to do this out here because I really believe in the good that is happening at the Bridges program. I care about these adults who need a safe, nice place to spend their time.”
