Congregate Homes

Ardmore, Inc., was founded in 1976 when its first home on Ardmore Avenue, was opened to provide services to two men. Since its inception, Ardmore has been a pioneer in Ohio, it has challenged and defined the right of each individual with a developmental disability to be a part of the community in which he/she lives, works, and socializes.

The Ardmore tradition continues as we serve men and women in congregate homes throughout Summit County. Each facility, consisting of two to four individuals, has 24-hour staff availability with low staff-to-clients ratio. Individuals are employed or participate in vocational and/or educational programs outside the home as well as normal daily routines in the home designed to teach daily living skills and foster self-reliance. Day support staff are provided as an option to traditional senior day supports.

Home Coordinators and staff are trained to meet the changing skill and functioning level of each individual. Community access/integration is encouraged as one of our primary goals to connect each individual beyond paid services.

*At Ardmore, we believe that everyone deserves a place in their community where they are safe, seen, accepted, loved and given opportunities to contribute.
